Building a Comprehensive Digital Platform for Workplace Mental Health with Oliva

Oliva Health's goal was to create a user-friendly website that served as a one-stop shop for workplace mental health resources. Ideally, this platform would make it easy for employees and HR professionals to access mental health services, find helpful information, and learn how to navigate challenging conversations. However, Oliva Health needed to build this platform from the ground up. The challenge was to design an intuitive website with a dedicated mental health hub and a specialized platform for managers. To further enhance accessibility, Oliva Health wanted to leverage AI technology to automate the delivery of therapist-created content. This project was driven by the increasing recognition of mental health issues and the demand for innovative solutions in the workplace.

Creating a Specialized Platform for Tough Conversations: The project also focused on developing a unique platform (https://tough-conversations.oliva.health/) specifically designed for managers and HR personnel. This platform's objective was to offer guidance and resources for effectively handling difficult conversations in the workplace.

Innovating with AI Technology: A significant aspect of the project was researching and integrating text-to-speech AI therapy tools. This innovation aimed to automate the curation of content by renowned therapists, enhancing the effectiveness and reach of Oliva Health's services.

Design System Contribution: For the Oliva Health web platform, Blott contributed to the design system, particularly by designing the 'text therapy' feature. This involved creating a user-friendly and efficient design that would be integral to the platform's functionality.

For managers and HR personnel, we created the Tough Conversations platform, providing structured guidance and tools to handle sensitive workplace issues effectively. To enhance the platform’s capabilities, we integrated AI-driven text-to-speech technology, enabling automated delivery of therapist-curated content. This innovative feature helps to personalize the user experience and make mental health resources more accessible. We also contributed to the overall design system, ensuring a cohesive and efficient user experience across all digital touchpoints.
